    Hi
is it possible to remove the headlights on my Audi Allroad (Halogen) and refit Xenon headlights from another Allroad vehicle.
Is the wiring the same, or would I have to get a auto electrician to wire them up. The halogen headlamps are poor when driving in the dark,
Any help on this would be appreciated

you need the headlamps, with the ballasts, the front bumper with the washers, then the self levelling actuators from the suspension and the loom to go with it. so no, its not simple. why not just fit some osram nightbreaker bulbs to what you have now, making sure the lights are properly clean and the lenses crystal clear. if they are cloudy or scratched then they will affect light output no end.

Since he's got an allroad he'll already have everything apart from the xenons, so it is relatively simple.

Having said that, I agree - nice clear lenses and Nightbreakers do make a considerable difference, and it's a lot less faff.

And a lot less expensive when the transplanted xenons go pink...

    Thanks for the replys gents.
yes my allroad already has the headlight washers and also the auto levelling for the headlights. ive priced some xenon headlights up on ebay for £250. Just wanted to know if they would be plug and play so to speak.
Has anyone done the DIY on cleaning the headlight lenses, does it work.
Are the Osram night breakers the best bulbs to get ????
Your comments would be appreciated yet again

    Thanks

Osram Night Breaker Unlimited + 110 % and Philips X-treme Vision + 130 % are the two top halogen bulbs .

But they would be outperformed by Cree LED .

Best to go for factory fit HID headlights, they are plug and play and designed to work with the wiring loom of the car- had a few aftermarket HID lights melt connectors and lights switch due to shoddy wiring and overloading...
