    Default hot start pd – 09-11-2015,09:51 PM
    Hello. 05 plate pd105 has got a lazy start when the engine is at 90c. sometimes it starts with the first turn, sometimes its a lazy one. cold engine starts first time every time. what could it be? many thanks.

    Explain what a 'lazy start' is.
    Turns over normally, but doesn't start? Slow to turn over?

    well it takes a while to start, but it starts. this is intermittent, because sometimes it starts in no time

    I had a similar problem on my a4 avant..
    I fitted a new battery and all was well..
    It seems the engine has to turn over quicker when warm to start..
    Next time it happens try jump leads from another car and see if that helps.Either that or your starter is on the way out..
