Moved over to the C7 side

Hi all,

Some might have seen in the C6 thread - the old C6 has gone and a new C7 is arrived.
Got it "nearly new" from Guildford Audi who I must say in terms of sales/pre-sales have been great. Didn't feel pushed at all despite only going in to test drive an A1 for the other half. Turned out so well, we ended up signing for an A3 and the A6.

No real spec to the car and did a somewhat downgrade but upgrade :

A6 2.0 Ultra (Black) facelift -
Sline I look mean pack
Has the LED lights + sweeping rear lights
Full leather inside
Tech pack, keyless start
And thats about it.

-Went from 19" to 18" = looks crap but very comfy ride
-No black styling pack like the C6 - Had a quote to wrap the chrome in black (seen another they've done and can't tell the diff!) plus darken the rear glass which I might get done. Fully reversible if it doesnt look factory.
-2.7 tdi to 2.0 - TBH, no real difference. From what I know, the 2.0 is 5bhp more anyway. Only thing I'd say is it's noisier (v6 > 4 cyl) and gear changes are very quick compared to the C6 even in dynamic mode.
-No lighting pack but not really noticed. The footwells were so dim even at bright - the two red downlighters are in this one, hands are lit in red so pretty much the same.
-Had 80l tank in the last one, this one is 65 with adblue I think? Again, no real difference, got 450-500 miles full tank in the C6 and 780 miles in this one for the same journey pattern.
-£200 + tax in the C6, £30 in this one

All in all, very nice car, just miss the black styling pack more than anything and the fact the C6 could be thrown around a lot more than this one ... for now.

Going back on Thursday due to 2 creaks which is driving me mad - one is near the front/top mainly evident on uneven roads or simply a slow right turn into a road - left happens too but not as obvious.
The other is more tapping sound from the rear especially when I brake and the car lunges a bit forward.
Hopefully this is not the start of a lemon car like my first A6 which they ended up writing off as they couldnt fix the rattle! (Not Guildford Audi) but within the 30-day swap/refund time they offer.

I was looking at an A1 for my other half and we went to look at a used one at Guildford. Bit of a drive for me but I agree that they were excellent to deal with! Shame she didn't like the Missano Red as they were willing to do a good deal...!

Think we need pics of your new lovely motor....and then I can tempt you to buy my 20" rotors by showing you how lovely they look on a black Audi :P

If that's the Avant they had then I nearly bought that one, Newbury found one with a RR Camera which I really wanted to so changed at the last minute but a day later.... It was a nice car.

Saloon but I did see the Avant ! I was in two minds but avant is just not me at the moment.
Not a bad price either as it was only a grand more than the saloon -

Well mines gone back to Audi exactly a week after purchasing for 1 major irritating rattle at slow turn (front dash area), an annoying metallic rattle only sometimes heard from the rear, and a shocks/suspension noise on ramps at times.
Just hope the 8000 miles on the car have not been bad ones from Audi :s
Bought plenty of ex-demos without any issues so heres hoping!
