Alarm siren

My alarm siren in my 03 1.8t avant has never worked since I've owned it, I have bought and fitted a new siren (not 2nd hand) but it still will not sound when armed. Indicators flash but no sound, no chirp on arming either.

Any ideas?

Check the fuse and have a good look at the connector pins the acid can migrate through it and into the wires,wind the window down and set it off see if that sounds.

Which fuse is it?
Wires and connections are good by the look of them.

May need to get it scanned to find out.

Is the convenience system coded for audible arm/disarm?

Can't remember the number,but there is one because I blew mine whilst soldering in a new connector,anyway you can check by turning on the ignition and see if you get voltage,its the charging for the internal batteries.
