Vw emissions Question on mk7 GTD 2016 is it affected ?

Hi Everyone

Does anyone know if the the 2.0 TDI 184BHP diesel unit is affected by the emissions scandal in the MK7 2016 GTD, as i have ordered one of these cars ? I am thinking of cancelling the order until the issue has been resolved.
Does it have the the same engine as the mk6 GTD 2.0TDi 170, it has the following EA 189 engines, which are affected, also VW have announced EA189 EU5 Engines need modifying according to there official website.
I am not sure whether a software upgrade is required or hardware that will fitted, I already have a 2010 MK6 GTD that will be recalled at sometime.
Any information on this would be appreciated !

I think we're all passed caring on here. Contacting VW for a definitive answer would be common sense.

VW have said that 2015 vehicles are not affected, also mine is a 2014 EU5 1.6Tdi I have checked on the VW web site and it is not required for recall.

Hi.

I took delivery of my GTD 5 weeks ago. I've been onto the VW web site with the VIN and it says my car is not affected.

The amount of information on this subject is pretty (scandalously) non-existent.

However, the 2016 GTD is a Euro-6 engine, and should not be affected.

All new EU6 models are not affected.
