    Hi all ,

Just wandering if anyone can point me in the direction to obtain a engine mount for Audi A4 2001 8E5, B6 2001 Estate 1.9 TDI 130 (Passenger side) i have looked high and low (Ebay, google) but cannot find the mount including the sensor attachment, i have found plenty without , do i have to replace the whole unit or just the rubber??i have seen plenty of 2.5 Quatro's with the sensor but not any relevant to my model ???are they universal.

    Thanks for your help.

The engine mount has a clever electro hydraulic damping system and failures (indicated by a code of leaking fluid) are really common. If it is just an error code and you are not noticing any vibrations or thumps, I'd ignore it. If it is leaking or causing an actual problem (rather than just a fault code) then it will need to be changed. I believe you can fit the standard mount from the earlier B5 model (though obviously you will get a fault code as there will be nothing to connect the wiring to - you can ignore it, it won't put the warning light on the dash so you will only know if you read the diagnostic codes). Otherwise I am sure your local dealer (or TPS if you know someone who has an account) will happily supply you the correct part, doubt there are any pattern equivalents and I wouldn't bother with a secondhand one, chances are it will very soon start giving the same fault code as the one you have....

The left electric mount for a 4 cylinder diesel is VAG part number 8E0 199 379 BF and from Audi/TPS these retail at £147.96. These are extremely difficult to obtain aftermarket, there is no one I know of where you can get these.
