    Hi all

I am having a problem with a generic HID kit that one light keeps working on and off. I have replaced ballast, tube and even swapped the entire fitting. The channel still works inermittently. I used warning cancellors (2 of them in series) to no avail. So i decided to bypass everything with a relay. The relay coil energizes in place of the lamps, but there is hectic chatter on the relay. Also, voltage at light is 11V, and battery is 12.8V.
How do i disable the frequency on the lights?

    Yo,

Easy fix, reinstall original and ditch kit. Sorry if it's not the answer you were looking for but I have a bad standing with HiD kits. I've only heard of about 2 people which spent the extra £3-400 on the correct HiD projectors to go with them. I've also heard many times that 90% of HiD kits are junk, hence the fact they cost a fortune as an optional extra

    Just my two cents

Good set of original Osram Nightbreakers or Phillips white vision works wonders.

I also replaced incandescent globes with LED type globes. Now i have a warning light for globes. Which ones work best?

Halogen bulbs.... LEDs will cause cold test to fail and turn the warning light in dash on.

I have some CAN-Bus LED globes and VAGCom tells me those that are replaced, are no longer in error. I just can't find bayonet bulbs that are correct

Probably because halogen headlights are not made for LEDs or HID kits.
Not sure why people keep on using LEDs and HIDs when they are illegal in halogen headlights.

If people would at least see better with them.... can't really see a point in them, loads of glare, lacks the definition (bright/dark field) of real xenon light with proper projectors.
