Hi, I bought my first Audi a few weeks ago. A6 2.0TDi 138bhp automatic. I noticed that csr at low RPMs (around 1300) struggles and had no power. Everything is fine around 2000 RPMs. Suggestions are it could be DMF which I think is not bcz it just been changed by the garage I bought it from or it could be EGR system and I've been told to blank it. Any thoughts on this one please?

Change the diesel filter and air filter firstly, physically do it or at least mark the diesel one so you know it has been changed.

I would do the oil as well .......................

Can you rev the car up to just under the red in the revs ? A sign of the DMF being choked is it doesn't rev fully.

    Get it scanned with VCDS.

As multitronic has it had the required fluid changes every 38k miles?

I will buy diesel filter and air filter tomorrow and change it myself. When testing the revs should the engine be cold or in working temperature?

I scanned the car with VAG401 but no faults found. Had the gearbox oil changed a week ago.

warm it up first please, or at least run it for a few minutes.

A brief blip on throttle if you have to during warm up, but please wait until water at 80 on temp guage on dash
