    Hey folks,
Couldn't find an answer after a forum search, so with a risk of someone telling me it has been asked before..here it goes!

I have an A6 2.0 TDI now fitted 255/35R19 (and lowered suspension to match). Under the fuel cap it doesn't mention anything about R19s anyone have an idea what tyre pressure I should be running in the front/back?

    Cheers
    Phily

rough guess at 30 psi to get you home ? Usually tyres are 29 to 32 psi depending on load

So, I ended up Googling/Yahooing/Binging and found this; Tyre Pressures for BMW, Mercedes, VW Audi, Porsche and more | Alloy Wheels Direct

    Screen Shot 2015-09-15 at 6.03.30 PM.jpg
    Seems like Front/Rear should be
    2.5/2.2bar light loading (36/32psi)
    2.7/3.1bar full loading (39/45psi)

Yea learn something new each day hopefully, that helps someone in the future

Yea, this could have accounted for the road noise during a trip Dublin<->Galway - must do more motorway miles to test

Well that could be due to the tyre itself, if the rubber is harder then yes you will get more miles out of the tyre before replacing, but the trade off is its more noisier

New tyres will have Noise ratings of say 70db, fuel economy rating & also grip in the wet.

For example some of the cheaper tyres have good ratings across all 3 of noise, fuel and grip ............... but will they return the mileage before replacing ?

With the lower profile tyres, you may find the tyres have to be harder so if you hit a pot hole , it doesn't hit the rims & the tyre walls are harder for better handling at speed. That means more tyre pressure
