Hi guys I'm new here just hoping you can help me with a few problems ...
iv got a heavy miss fire and the following fault codes all were stored and deleted (engine 18074 18072 16685 17552( abs 01314)
when deleted these come back 18074 16685 and abs 01314 ...

i also have the Asr light on as well ?

i know that 18074 is injector 1 i think for the cam belt side?
    16685 is cylinder 1 missfire

and 01314 is poss abs controller ..

i have read that this all could be just the injector wiring loom , so iv took it out inspected it and cleaned all contacts on the injectors and the loom
    no change ....

i have read that if the loom is breaking down it could knock the abs out as well given that is is getting and irregular signal ??

I'm looking for some wisdom to be honest in which direction to proceed as I'm not keen on wasting money in the wrong direction ..

many thanks for reading even if you can't help Terry

    hi terry.
when i get these in like this yes injector loom is poor on these but also so is the abs unit itself.
i actually keep a good working brain on my shelf to switch these out to test if abs brain is the problem.
also ive had several of these were the lift pump relay where your knee is has loose contacts on the legs of relay.
well its not the relay at fault but the contacts in relay holder.
i bend them with a screw driver so there tighter.
what i found was the lift pump was being pulsed on and off so not enough fuel to injectos.
also you need your pump in tank to deliver a min of 2 bar as there is a valve in its path.
has to overcome 2 bar in order to open it.
    hope this helps.
