    Hi,

I've a 2002 A6 Avant 1.9TDi Sport, it looks great and drives well, but my commute now involves some "B road" driving and the car is too hard on these roads.

I'm wondering what my options are improving the ride.

Can i just change the springs, or would I need to do the shocks also?
Can I just do a straight swap for standard suspension components?

I could look at changing the rims, as she's running the stock 235/45 R17.

In comparison to my 2001 A4 Avant Sport, it's definitely much firmer.

    Thanks for looking.

    Springs and shocks I'm afraid.

I have same car and changed all shocks last year and had to be really sure they were for the Sport. Springs are shorter too.

Front geometry will need resetting, no biggy but it is a dealer job to get perfect - look up toe curve for Audi's. Sport setting is slightly different to SE etc.

Yes B roads are trying, infact bumpy as.........still like it as get on a motorway and it just sits there solid.
