Sorry to ask lots of questions, but thanks in advance

Is this the correct kit for my engine? (Where do I find the correct code for my engine?)

So I have ordered the EGR delete pipe from Darkside, and then after looking around their site, I saw they also sell gaskets. I emailed to have an intake manifold gasket added to my order, and to advise extra payment, and I receive a new email invoice for both parts, and to my supprise, the gasket was marked FOC!! Fair play to Darkside, that's bloody good of them.

Now to find out what's the best solution to remove the sooty crap from my intake?

You can try chemicals like brake cleaner or soak in Mr Muscle oven cleaner, or mechanical clean scraping the gunk with a long flat screw driver, wire brush or skewers.
When I took my turbo, EGR and both manifolds it made a huge mess so make sure you choose your place very carefully. Don't do it in the sink or anywhere indoors...

And protect your hands by using gloves. You’ll need pretty nasty chemical to loosen those carbons.

This is pre- post-clean on my EGR (it wasn't as bad as the intake manifold or the turbo):

Intake manifold was stickier due to slimy oil. I had to use hot water on full flow to flush some out and use screw driver to scrape them off.
