Tuning the 80

Hello

I've got an Audi 80 '92 2.0 manual. It drives well but the performance ain't great.

Has anybody got any tips on how to improve the performance?

Trouble is with n/a engines is you can't do that much unless you want to consider an engine rebuild with uprated cam/pistons, etc. A good start though is to put in an uprated induction system, either a performance panel filter or a cone system. Get the exhaust system changed for something a little more free-flowing. If its not got an intercooler, it might be an idea to fit one, somehow, as cooler air means better performance in the engine. Ummm. Buying a turbo engined car would be next step really.

Might have a look at uprating the induction.
At the end of the day I think you're right my next car will have to be something with a bit more about it. I was looking at A4 1.8 turbos, then I started looking at vw passat turbos as they are practically the same car and cheaper which is the prime motivator of my quest for a bit of performance.
