So after using Autoglym Wheel cleaner for a while I decided to buy a set which included the wheel cleaner, alloy wheel seal and a tyre dressing all by Autoglym.

Just though id review it as after over 2000 miles the wheels still look like I've just cleaned them!

First of all, I give them a good covering of wheel cleaner, while spraying I give them a maybe excessive coating and ensure to cover the sidewalls of the tyres too. after about 5 mins I clean it off using a microfibre cloth (and as I've got 20" wheels I get my hand inside and clean the visible parts of the wheel too). That leaves the wheels looking as new. From there I dry the car and wheels and leave it a short period to ensure its dry as can be.

Then I covered the tyres in tyre dressing, giving a good coating and not wiping it off as that gives a matt finish. Leaving it alone gives a cracking gloss. I do however wipe the excess off the alloy wheel - this gives a problem. Where it gets on the alloy, the alloy seal doesn't adhere and you can see where you wipe it off when brake dust builds up. So now apply the ally seal first.

Finally the alloy seal. If you apply it too thickly, it leaves a white residue, so Ive found two or three light coats are better - much better. leave each coat to dry for 2-3 hours and then if possible leave it to dry overnight before moving it. When thats done, apply the tyre dressing and admire!

The alloy wheel seal gives a hydrophobic coating that repels water and brake dust - apparently. I've found it is and it keeps the wheels looking as new for a good 2000 miles. Wish Id taken some pics before washing but will next time.

Anyway, if you have made it this far well done - basically the Autoglym wheel kit is brilliant!
