    How does price compare with main dealer cost ?

    I think it only applies to the C6 and not the C7. In his text he refers to a6 4F which is the model designation for the C6 (C7 is 4G) and the Firmware version is much lower (257) than that often referenced on here and elsewhere (715 or higher) . As to price it is a lot cheaper than Audi will charge you, but there will always be a risk associated with buying a copy rather than the original

    Hi many thanks-

    i have the tech pac with touch pad , google maps etc car was registered Nov 11 , so considering updating the maps as I will be keeping the car for a few years.

    Will the firmware have to be updated before the maps are updated?

    I've considered updating but also have google maps so don't know it it will be worthwhile as that's what I use?

    Hi M1tchy

    i am sure that google maps just overlay onto the existing maps on the cars Hard Drive ...... when I drive on the new bypass which was completed in 2012 (after my car was built) with Google Maps shows me driving across fields for about 1.5 miles
