Assuming it's the normal problem, you can get repair kits on eBay for £60 last time I looked.

Set comes with flaps, bushes, end piece, link rod and clip.

You can buy the link rod/clip separately for £12, and do with no real dismantling. Might fix it for a while, but the problem comes because the sticky flaps wear the linkage. The above, and a bit of cleaning, is the proper fix.

If it's a motor problem, you can get these too, but they cost more than a set of flaps.

Get it from your local Audi dealer, if you are in the UK this will be cheaper than Ebay, as both sides (in the case of 2.7 or 3.0 diesel engined cars) is around £14

I did not have your fault but an 'intake manifold runner - lower stop not reached' fault and have driven with this for almost 2yrs with no adverse affects to driveability, economy or emissions

It would be useful if you added your model year and engne size to your signature strip...as both Edwards and I have?

    Swirl flap repair kit.

I know it applies to the 2.7 and 3.0 which use 2, possibly the 2.0 just uses one...but am sure someone will be along to tell me that the 2.0 doesn't have one!

Need to check it but think I have this.. shows up as an intermittent engine management warning but no other symptoms and will often just go out on next start. Been happening for 6 months+ without any obvious effects

Was quoted 700 EUR to fix so this would be great news!
