Hi all. Was wondering if anyone can help?

I have a Audi A8 D2 4.2 and need to get an MOT sorted. My issue is that the airbag light is showing. I ran a scan on a cheap Vagcom and got the below result.

I have had a look at some connections under the passenger seat and cannot see anything obvious??? So am hoping that you guys on here can help by pointing me in the right direction.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Pete

You have to check connectors, common fault, I would imagine connector for seat belt tensioner would be in pillar.

Yes, from memory of taking out soddden carpets on a friends D2 and from the same issue with my own D2 I would agree that the seatbelt tensioners are indeed located behind the B post pillar. You'll see the connectors. On one of the cars I messed around on we removed both front seats to get to the wet carpet. But I think on my own car I accessed the connectors by removing the rear seat squab and the rear plastic inner sill trim, I seem to remember that the tensioners are located under the carpet attached to the inner sill area, nearer the rear seat than the front one. Give the contacts a clean as they seem to be prone to corrosion. With luck once cleaned the airbag light can be reset via VCDS.
