A6 2013 MMI - 'Currently unavailable' when turning volume, no sound, cannot connect to device

Hi,

Yesterday, got in the car as normal, MMI screen popped up on startup of the car, but the MMI failed to connect to the last used device. Changed to radio, no sound, turned volume up, got message on screen 'currently unavailable'.

I now cannot get any sound or connect to any device including, CD, bluetooth or ipod via connector. No sound from SatNav either (don't miss that though )

So far I've tried disconnecting the ipod and connector cable, doing an MMI reset (three button), but no joy. Still no sound at all.

Don't get me wrong, I love the sound of the 3.0 Bi-TDI, but I like a bit of music every now and then...

Before I take it to the main dealer, has anyone else seen this and found a fix?

Took the car into my local dealer who diagnosed a fault with the DSP (Digital Sound Package) in the boot, not sure if this is a posh term for amp?

They kindly replaced the unit under warranty but had to keep the car in overnight as it's not a part they keep on the shelf.

Hope this helps others in future.
