About 6 months or so ago I retrofitted a a MMI 3G HDD from 3G basic.

one thing I have never been able to solve is that I can't change the time. When I go into the "time" setup, I only have two options, one to change the time format between 24hr and am/pm and the other is to change the date format.

I'v looked at channel 19 of the instrument cluster (17) and it is set to "0" meaning no radio clock.

I'm stumped. Does anyone know of anything I can do either by VCDS or the hidden menu to bring the option back?

    Thanks

    Mark

No idea why you've not got it if you've followed this:

3G MMI vehicles: To set the clock, press the ‘Setup’ function button. From here, press the ‘Time’ control button and set the hour and minutes by selecting and turning the control knob, then pressing again to set. You can also adjust the time format and the date in this menu.

Perhaps you can't have it after your mod and will have to rely on a wristwatch

    Thanks Mark.

When I select "Time" control button I only get the 2 options above and not an option to change the time.

Wondered if anyone knew of any change I can make either via hidden menu or VCDS that will bring it back. It's become a little frustrating recently as have ben travelling more and the Sat Nav arrival time is based upon this time and I have to keep working it out

I can think of no practical reason that the clock would be hidden and assume you have the hidden menu access. Don't remember seeing anything in VCDS for my C6 that allows clock time change...so sadly am stumped

    Hi all,

I have undertaken an MMI2G High to MMI3GP upgrade in a 2007 Q7. What I cannot figure out is the settings to get the quartz clock within the MMI to work and provide time to the instrument cluster. Does anyone have the full "green menu" settings to get this to work? What I have at the moment in the "time setting" option of the MMI3GP is every option greyed out. It appears that the mmi is still trying to use the radio clock. I've set channel 19 of the instrument cluster (17) to "0" meaning no radio clock and have also "unselected" clock in carprotocolswitch but the time setting still has all menu options greyed out.

    thanks
    A

Never seen a quartz clock embedded in the MMI on either a 2g or 3g...or did you mean digital LCD clock?

Can you not enter the green menu at all, don't you know how to, or have you not tried?

Lots of guidance on t'interweb to access it, like this?
