I am thinking of fitting a cruise control to my passat 2002 td pdi. Is this car a

"Drive By Wire" and if so how do I find out.

Ebay sell VW cruise control kits and any input would be helpful.

    Thanks.

Parked up, take the revs to 2500 to 3000 and hold, press the brake pedal and if the revs drop you are fly by wire, after saying that I am sure all PDI units after 2001 are drive by wire.
    Look at www.vagparts.co.uk

    47.56 GBP
    96.07 USD
    Order no.: 3B0998527C

Genuine parts, good fitting instructions and often cheaper than Ebay

Dont forget you will probably need Vag-Com to activate the cruise feature after fitting the stalk.

just jumped on the cruise control topic , have looked at
vagparts but it looks stalk only on the photo.
    Is this it?
any quick precis on fitting would be appreciated before I get one
I have vag-com, and cruise enabling is possible
The car is a b5.5 2.0 azm estate (with l.p.g. conversion hence the need for vag.com)
    thanks
