    Hi,

Can anyone help with this please...I have posted it previously without success........

I've searched high and low for the correct log in access code to change the injector quantity on my passat in the engine module with vag com...
I've listed all the codes I've found and tried below as they might come in useful for others anyway.
If anyone can help with a code for my vehicle I'd be very grateful...

    26231 V6 2.5 AFB/AKN
    26242 V6 2.5 AFB
    26261 V6 2.5 AFB
    26262 V6 2.5 TDI AFB AKE
    26281 (?)
    22158 R5 2.5 TDI AAT
    24262 V6 2.5 AFB
    40168 (?)
    01283 2.0 MPI (ABA)
12233 TDI 4 cylinders 1Z, AHU, AHH, AFN, ALH, ASV, AXR, ASZ
    02879 2.5 4VT EDC
    35342 (?)

    Thanks in advance
    Gary

Hay man. Why do you want to change the settings as you described? Just curious.

Cars Idle is wrong since I replaced my car battery I get slight vibration throughout the car which is very annoying particularly as I do a lot of stop start driving around the city centre etc....drives me mad when i'm stopped at the lights ... ive maxed out my idle rate to 800 rpm but it needs another 50 rpm for the judder to go (and realistically that would only be a way round the problem ... not fixing it properly...
I simply wanted to tweak some of the sttings in the hope that I could cure the matter...It's got everybody scratching their heads to be honest...i dont think the ecu should have lost any settings during the battery change but the problem was noticeable immediately after the new battery was fitted...There are no fault codes stored on the ECU whatsoever ??

Ok it could be purely coincidental, iv had on 3 occasions on a t4 syncro, a4 tdi and audi all road, absolutely terrible vibrations especially noticeable through the floor boards, from idle to driving, and after careful inspection and testing, failed engine mountings were the cause. On the vag tdi cars the mountings are gel filled instead of plain rubber to dampen the engine vibrations. Check ur mountings for visible signs of moisture, and wilst its idling if ur in doubt, have sumbody with a longish crowbar or tyre lever wedged between subframe and sump (use wooden block between sump and lever) just lift pressure off both mountings one at a time on either side. Im almost positive ul feel an immediate difference. The ecus wont loose settings because car batteries need eventual changes. Give it a bash. Im sure a mounting is the vibration cause

Just my two pennies worth, Ive had battery's on and off my 2 passat's on numerous occasions over the years for a few reasons, and every time there has been no difference in how the engine behaves after reconnection.
