Picked these up yesterday , virtually brand new , genuine A5 18" alloys with pirelli p7 245 40 18s on all like new , came with new bolts etc . They were so cheap I couldnt say no and thought I would stick them on . needed spigot adapters but they have plenty of clearance ( a touch to much outside or the front arch ) but she likes them and its her car .. what do you guys think ?? should they stay or not ??11655204_650474458420942_1661301404_n.jpg11717169_650474475087607_1980628732_n.jpg

I thought it was illegal for the wheels to be sticking out past the wheel arch? No?

    Welcome.

I seem to recall failing on this with my Spitfire at the age of 19 (me, not the Spitfire, it was a mere 10 years old at the time) and remember something about no tread being visible from above, so you might get away with it.

Don't forget to tell your insurance company though....they'll also ask questions about the wheel/tyre size being one of the manufacturer's "approved" sizes for that model.

She'll be asking you to lower it soon, then it'll be almost perfect

Did you lower this? I've just put some a5 wheels with the same size tyres on my touran and the arch gap is massive, it looks alot bigger than yours, im wondering what my options for lowering it would be?
