I was wondering if there's anyone in the northern home counties with VCDS that could spare some time to help me tweak some bits on my Q7?
I was hoping to get the auto-folding mirror when I lock.
I also wanted to tweak what my odo and mmi screens can display.

Folding mirrors on lock is not possible on the Q7.
What screen displays do you mean, VIM and Needle sweep/boost, oil gauge & lap timer?

Serious, you can't fold mirrors on these with remote. That is poor

How do you get this oil gauge and lap time you mention?

also I would like the compasss feature to be activated, saw a youtube video and it has a compass in the rear view mirror.

It's not? How s**t. Manually having to do it is really annoying...

But yeah, needle sweep, boost etc too.
I'm also curious to know what mods are possible for the lights.

And Eg. Can you mod so as to have rear lights on when only DRL's are on?
Can the indicator LED's be changed to strobe (like r8, a8, new a7 and a6)?

I'd also like the video-playback while driving enabled.

The mirrors are because of the age of the original module design ie 10 years ago.

For the led's to be on front and rear you need to activate canada in the lighting options.

The strobing I don't know as its something I like too but when you look at the retrofits for the A6/A7/A8 prefacelift to facelift it looks like you need a new light unit as the controlling parts are inside.

Hello

I'd be interested to know what mods can be done in VCDS. So far I done the mirror title on reverse and needle sweep on startup.

Any other cool mods appreciated. Please let me know. In particular I want to activate directional fog lamps.

Only the passenger mirror tilts. Directional fog lights are where your fog lights come on when you are below about 20mph and turn your steering wheel beyond a certain angle.

Hmmm, I actually like the sound of that Fog light feature!
As for the mirror tilt, am I mistaken in that all q7's do that standardly? Or is only standard on the current gen, ie '10 face-lift and newer?
