Drive car around the block and make sure you go lock to lock several times. A flat battery throws up loads of code issues but unless there was something wrong before they usually resolve without problem.

Hi , agree with Teflon, flat or low battery throws up loads, even if you've charged the battery it might be on its way out and not holding full charge. A decent battery should hold charge while he was on few weeks hols.

Sorry to bring up a quite old thread, i as well, have a problem with G85.
I will try to be as short and to the point as possible.
    At first these errors:

Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: 1K0-907-379-MK60-F.lbl
    Part No: 1K0 907 379 K
    Component: ESP FRONT MK60 0104
    00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
    014 - Defective - Intermittent

Address 44: Steering Assist Labels: 1Kx-909-14x-44.clb
    Part No: 1K1 909 144 H
    00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
    014 - Defective - Intermittent

They were cleared and didn't show up until today.
The one on ABS was cleared but not the one on Steereing Assist.
I tried to do a basic settings on G85, from ABS Brakes module, tutorial from Ross-Tech here but when i hit Go!, it didn't work, the error was Group 060 Not Available.
Anyway something happened, because now i get these errors, that won't clear:

Address 44: Steering Assist Labels: 1Kx-909-14x-44.clb
    Part No: 1K1 909 144 H
    02546 - Steering Limit Stop
005 - No or Incorrect Basic Setting / Adaptation
    00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
    000 - -
    Freeze Frame:

    On ABS still no error.
I went to 44 Steering Assist, Adaptation, but it couldn't read G85, it said Error group 090 Not Available.
I went several times on Measuring Blocks on ABS Brakes, and only 2 of 6 times it was reading the real time steering wheel angle, the other 4 times, the value was stuck to 0.
All this time, the power steering is lid yellow on my cluster and the steering wheel is hard to turn, the power steering isn't working.
Is the Sensor for Steering Angle (G85) faulty and should i change it?
I've read similar threads, but they didn't help me.
Please tell me what should i do next, thank you for your time.
    Regards,

Have you started it up. Turned steering wheel all the way to left and hold then all the way to the right and hold and then turned to straight ahead then drive in the straight position and the light should clear?

Sometimes they need longer. Driving in the straight ahead position. Iirc upto 30 km h. Bit strange it went down with the battery. I would take it to a specialist. Before rushing in replacing g85.

Normally it clears after about 1/4 mile on my usual test run which is two hard rights and two hard lefts.

i have finally managed to get it working.
drove about 10 meters in straight line, stopped, one turn of the wheel to the left, straight the wheel, one turn to the right and again straight, drove another 10 meters, full turn of the wheel to the left, then full turn on the right.
After that, when i got the wheel straight, the power steering started working and the light in my dash went off.
The night all started, it was cold outside, could this happen because of a poor battery? I know that the power steering is among the greatest consumers on a car.
Thank you for your replies, have a nice day!

Even putting a PQ35 platform car on the lift with the ignition on can bring on the EPAS light, it is standard practice for mechanics to road test a car to solve things like this as it would upset a customer if you left it for them to do.
