    hi

every now and then when i select first gear when pulling away and then try to select second gear it would move from the first gear position, feels like its jammed in, i have to really force it into second or neutral and you feel a jerk/jolt. only does this when trying to come out of first gear.

tried to grease the linkages were bolts to gearbox and also under gear gaiter but no help

    any advise please

How does your clutch pedal feel, my money is on a collapsed dmf or clutch that's on the way out.

Clutch is little high but no slipping, dmf has no rattle or noise infact I think it may even be a single mass conversion as I don't hear any rattle and don't know when it was last done, or maybe it's very new.

with car off it don't get stuck in 1st but when running and stationary I can go through the gears several times and no sticking in 1st. Only when driving and pulling away it happens

Strange one alright, I'm still reckoning it's clutch rather than linkage issue but hard to diagnose without feeling what's happening.

Beyond my knowledge now, don't know much about those boxes, just sounds like your clutch is not clearing enough and catching 1st gear. If there is a known issue that causes these symptoms that's where I would be looking.

If she has a solid flywheel conversion remember the solid flywheel is a lot thinner than the DMF and you have a lot more travel on the clutch pedal. It will also f**k up your gearbox
