Hi, looking for some advice. The belt driven fan on my passat 55 plate tdi 130 seems to run alot of the time. Is this normal even up here in chilly Scotland??
    Cheers

HI There, I think you are referring to the belt driven Viscous Fan. With the

engine switched off the fan should be easy to turn, if yes then the viscous

coupling is ok. It should run all the time.

The electric fan comes in when extra cooling is required.

Thanks very much. Just wanted to make sure it was meant to run all the time.
