I have replaced the front and rear bumpers on my 2.0 TDIe SE A6.

Only taken me around a year to finally sort out.

Front bumper changed to a LeMans bumper.

This included a headlight washer retrofit.

    Rear S Line Bumper.

This included a OEM PDC Retofit, now looking at a rear view camera retrofit next.

I have finally bought the wire loom for my front bumper...what I think will replace the faulty item. All I need to do now is take that front bumper off.... Thing is ... I am no good with a spanner

The front bumper is easy to take off, no need to put the car on to jacks just turn the steering to full lock for either side.

On refitting make sure that the clips on the side bumper bracket are intact and the bracket is secure to the wings as this will effect the shut lines on refit.

The plastic nuts do fail on removal of the bumper, a M6 bolt and M6 nut with a couple of big washers will do the job better.

I got the bumpers off Ebay and repaired them, they had minor dents on them & then i painted them.

2K paint and Clearcoat but had to wait for the weather to get to a decent temperature to do it.

The rear bumper was originally silver.

The rear bumper was a pain to colour sand and polish being black (shows every blemish).

Having a black saloon (albeit pre facelift) I do like the look.

Am guessing that it was only facelifts that got the chrome striker on the bottom of the saloon boot...as mine doesn't have one.

    Perhaps sommat I can add?

Another thing I've noticed is that I have two front parking sensors on the outside edge just above/behind where the fog light is....anyone know the sticker code for front parking sensors?

If it's not there can only assume that my front has been replaced at some point...if the code is there how do you activate the front sensors??

The chrome strip cannot be added to pre facelift A6 but you can add a strip to the boot lid.

If you did try you would need a find an aftermarket stick on strip.
