Paint Issue damage from Bird Poo!

Today I drove out to Culworth to do an 8 mile walk, on my return I noticed some horrendous Bird poo all across my roof and down the windscreen, It has damaged my paint finish in serval areas on my roof! I need to speak with Audi to see what they suggest but I can see it being really expensive to put right, I tried some polish after first washing it off but the acid in the Bird Poo seems to have removed the gloss lacquer finish and now it's all dull and patchy? Does anybody have any tips on dealing with this issue? or is it just a case of seeking professional help from the Audi dealer or body shop?

if you don't remove the bird poo straight away it will eat into the paint (as you've seen although will also etch into it) and the only remedy is a respray.

The above is not true, bird mess etches into the clear coat, the clear coat is there to protect the paint, a decent cutting polish (none of this autoglym super resin polish, halfords stuff as that's a filling polish not a cutting one) and some elbow grease should work, failing that a decent detailer should do a machine polish for a few hundred quid, or next best is a wetsand Bird Stain Removal: Clear Coat Repair - YouTube, shouldn't be too expensive.

Invest in proper car cleaning, apply decent levels of wax/sealant and carry a quick detailer and microfiber cloth in the car to remove any bird mess as soon as possible

I think I have resolved the issues 　
With copious amounts of polishing with a very fine grade "Plastic Polish" I had, the sort you use on plastic watch faces to remove slight scratches think of it like a very very fine T-Cut I have managed to remove those patches 　
No Paint was harmed in the process as I never had any Grey Paint on the White Tissues I was using, so I must of been just polishing the surface of the lacquer and the marks seem to have gone! well 99.9% gone you have to look really hard to even see where they were, lets hope they don't re-appear once the polish dries

Well it's the only time I get to drive my car is for pleasure to attend walks!! I'm now retired so where as I used to do 15,000 miles per year just commuting that is now 0, so the car only does about 2-3,000 per year now and the time I take it out it gets **** on!"!! and it wasn't your ordinary bird poo it was thick green in colour, it almost looked like a person had been sick on the roof!!! it was that bad, so I don't no what sort of bird ****'s green poo? not like the birds around where I live that's for sure lol

I always keep a selection of microfibers in my boot along with a spray bottle of apc and always try to deal with them asap, that's the best solution initially.
Shouldn't be any need for a respray, time and effort with some detailing products can resolve this

Even worse that bird poo ( no matter which colour combination, green poo on black car etc ).., and much worse damage will be caused by sunblock cream coming into contact of the paint work or even the headlamps . Trust me, I have just spent several days rubbing down such stains, and machine polishing the paint work to restore it. And after all the effort, while it may invisible to to the casual observer, I can still see some very faint signs of it still. Both headlamps needed major surgery to restore them, much more that the "normal" discoloration removal.
