So frustrating! Have bought some canBus is bulbs and have fitted them to my 2010 a6. I get the error unless I leave one of the old bulbs in. If I replace both, they both flash on once and then go off - then error is reported. Any ide what I am doing wrong anyone? Would be appreciated as I'm trying to do it today!

    thanks

It would seem they are not can bus bulbs buddy, what I used to do in the days before can resistors were available was wire in a separate small bulb in behind a trim somewhere and this provided the load to keep the message off.

I've had genuine and those Chinese ones. Genuine lasted 1 year before failing, Chinese ones got bulb warming after 1 month.
    I give up!

Fitted the OEM ones... really pleased with them compared to the old yellow ones. Cost £35 from Audi off the 2011 A8 - 4H0 943 021 and 4H0 943 022

I keep getting intermittent errors now. Installed them 3 months ago then got an error. Got Audi to swap the one that stopped working, thinking it was faulty... and now 2 weeks later it's thrown up the error again. Others are reporting this randomness too. Anyone any ideas? It can be in daylight after I've been driving for half hour or as soon as I switch the car in in daylight.

Are you getting clear contact on the metal pins? Mine have been in for a long time now and haven't had any issues.
