    Hey guys

I am experiencing loss of power when I accelerate hard. For example joining the motorway - the initial pull is fine and turbo appears to be working and then power goes completely, putting my foot down again hard on the accelerator and nothing happens. I can barely maintain whatever speed I have reached and the only way I can continue driving is to restart the engine. If I am gentle and smooth when I accelerate the car works fine and can confidently drive on the motorway without a problem. The car is hardly pushed to its limits and wonder if that is why I haven't noticed it before. I first noticed this about 2 months ago at least and the car is used on a regular basis.

The next fault which has recently occurred, unsure if its related, is that driving in town the gearbox will sometimes high rev and stay there for much longer than normal before changing up. Say up to 3000rpm and holds it there before it decides to change. The car will pull away and drive normally but if l turn a corner for example and accelerate again it will give me this problem. If I switch into manual mode I can 'override' this gremlin and drive normally. You could compare it to be in Sport mode perhaps.

Model: Seat Leon MKII 2006 Sport 2.0 tdi 140 BKD Auto (DSG I believe)

I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

    Thank you.

    Will

    Hi.
I had the very same first issue on my touran, no warning lights but same loss of power, mine was the exhaust gas pressure sensor, error code PO472 (G450 is the part) and signal low, a vert simple fix from what I have seen, I will be getting mine done asap.

Hi, thanks for your response. Do you know where this is located? I have done a quick Google and it says its located at the back of the cylinder head...

Yes that's it. I have seen that there can also be one on the exhaust system but it's model specific.
The same part fits many vehicles and most big garages do quite a few of them.
Mine is apparently on the manifold, I have a 2008 touran bluemotion.

    Regards

Hello again, would this still apply to my car as I believe I haven't got a DPF filter on my exhaust? Straight CAT I was told when I purchased the car. Either way, I'm guessing my car needs to be checked by a VW/Audi Specialist to be certain. Thanks again for your feedback and good luck with your Touran!
