Does anyone have experience of launching and recovering boats on concrete slipways with one of these please? Am considering it as a replacement to my trusty but ageing convertible anyway but then wondered if in addition it could usefully replace an old Land Rover too; granted no low range gearbox but in theory all season tyres, diesel grunt, auto gearbox and quattro system should be up to it. Boat and braked twin-axle trailer weigh 1.25 tons so expect absolutely no problems towing on the road, it's just potentially the slipway recovery from a standing start. As I only need to launch and recover twice a year plus trail about 5 miles every time, it would save me the aggro of running another vehicle. Thanks - await your comments with interest.
