i am a newwbie so apologies after reading so many threads on how to change a thermostat keeping it simple remove engine covers x2 plastic on tpo of engine quarter turn to avoid breaking remove small metal plate near dipstik two allen key bolts unscew and remove do not break dipstick keep dipstick where it is remove earth at battery nearyly forgot store radio code loosten both alternater bolts top and bottom get 15 mm spanner and a small allen key this is where it gets a bit dodgy but do not worry where alt is located you will see a spring pulley with a nodget on top this is your alt belt goes round like a snake do not worry its not that hard to work out where it goes use spanner to pull forward put spanner on top of pulley and pull forward then get small allen key and lock it in place two holes line up you will see it take out top bolt only out of alternater and pull down alt you will now have accese to the houseing bolts for therm replace as other threads and do reverse put top bolt back in alt release pressure of top pulley keeping tension on spring and remove allen key from lokin keeping a eye on belts make surr there lined up tighten up all bolts to 3 atms lol might not be right but this is how idid it time 35 mins
