    Hi Guys

I've been looking for the answer to my problem for a little while with no luck.

I can see a few people had the same issue but no-one mentions how to fix it.
I broke the retaining clip on one of my front wiper arms (A4 Avant 2002), I read that you can buy the clip as a separate piece for pence rather than buying new arms.

My question is does anyone know how to either get the old clip out or remove the plastic end piece off the wiper blade in order to change out the clip?

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

Hi,just to let you know I had a 02 avant a few years ago with the same problem. My fix was unbolt the hole mechanism, grease up the two wiper arm barrels (taking off the C clips) bolt the mechanism back in,then I used 3 cable ties to fix the retaining clip...

    Worked a treat..

Same problem for me on my A4 Avant 2003. A no clip FIX!
Having ignorance of Audi wipers I purchased a £4 replacement wiper from Tesco including a bunch of different fitting clips, thinking I could do a quick DIY job - But non of these matched the original one even though it says that they fit A4 on the packaging. So, seeking avoidance of high prices and the advice from a neighbor Audi owner, he simply removed the existing plastic clip and fitted a Bosch blade using a small bolt and self locking nut. He suggested I just throw away the cheap and nasty Tesco blade.
His repair might not look so pretty but it does the job a treat. I can post photo if you want to see how it looks and find and post the part # of the Bosch blade
If you really want plastic clips, a US site (ECStuning) sells them for just over $10 each + $36 postage to UK. Ouch!
