Hi my econ light has been permanently on for a while now, due to the nice weather I thought I finally sort it. I took it to a garage and without even looking at it they diagnosed it stating it needed a new compressor.

i then went on the internet and read treads about the aircon high pressure switch (g65), i managed to get my car onto VAG COM and the error code I had id

    00819- high pressure sensor (g65)
    07-00 signal too low

also to note that I tried recharging my air con at a specialist and they stated it had hardly any feon, they could not recharge it as the aircon was not circulating (econ light)

my question is if it is the sensor then do i have to clear the fault code after the new sensor has been fitted or does it self clear?

also anyone know were i can get a sensor from and £££ and if anyone knows the part number (2002 audi a4 1.9 tdi awx)

im guessing stick to genuine part

    thanks in advance

8e0 959 126. Part number for thrust sensor/pressure switch. Easy fix - even easier if you loosen off the passenger headlight and slide it forward for access. Loads of threads on here about replacing.

Forgot to say - don't forget a new sealing o ring for the sensor part number 7H0 820 896 dirt cheap and frequently forgotten.

two 17mm spanners needed for the sensor job and torx drivers/sockets to release the headlight.
