As is the norm, more often than not these days with early morning city driving you find yourself in slow crawling traffic. I have noticed that when the car (2WD Ultra Sline) is crawling along the gearbox will normally be in 3rd but then as you slow to a stand still it can often be quite a notchy gear change down to 2nd and sometimes from 2nd to 1st can be very clunky. Going up the gearbox, cruising or when coasting mode is active it is seamless and you struggle to tell that it is changing gear. I often use the Eco setting around town so I am not sure if the other settings may help to reduce the issue.

Do others find this same issue and is there anything you can do or a software upgrade available?

That's probably a mechatronic unit needing replacing.

Mechatronic or clutches in gearbox should solve a problem but I know situation where this didn't help and dealer swap whole gearbox.

More often you find dealers replace gearboxes because they don't have a qualified technician to replace the clutch. If you aren't on LUK's list of approved technicians then you can't buy the clutch so it becomes a gearbox replacement.
