    Hi, what size filter cap socket will I require to remove the oil filter cap on my 2005 B7 1.9tdi?

    73 or 74 mm I cant remember which. you can buy a laser one in Halfords for about a tenner.

    A 76mm 14 flute wrench fits my 1.9 tdi Golf, a fiver off ebay
    Sealey VS7006.V2-06 Oil Filter Cap Wrench ,76mm x 14 Flutes | eBay

    Thanks for that, got a 76mm 14 flute one from Halfords today. Perfect fit
