if you put shells high octane in your car you will not feel a difference at all. now if you were driving a seat leon 225 bhp there is a difference you can feel
    hope this helps
no matter how you try you always come back to what you first started

I would point out that the high octane fuels tend to have detergents in to help clean carbon deposits. Over time you may notice a difference because of this alone and not the higher octane fuel.

    It's a Mercedes Benzzzz though

I would just ran a decent fuel through in once in a while just to help clean it.

There are loads of reviews online regarding fuels etc and improvements with different cars.

What car tested the Golf GTI and could find no improvement.

    So I don't think that either a 1.0 polo or a 2.0 GTI will see a difference.

Here's my post from anther thread:

Hmm, it was in the lunchtime news just now that they think that higher priced premium fuel has no added benefits than standard fuel.

What car did a roadtest on this.

    http://www.whatcar.co.uk/news-specia...aspx?NA=228253

It proved that using BP Ultimate Diesel had no performance gain and had a worse mpg !!

"The fuel companies stick by their claims, but our tests indicate that premium fuels are a needless expense"

orite m8 ive been interested in mk3 polo's for a while now..join club polo or polo3 forums and u can pic up parts on there very easily. every part u could possibly need for ur polo. i was going to do a g40 conversion but couldnt finance it so early in my life lol...with a car like urs u wont feel much difference with the high octane. my friends mk2 golf gti feels a lot of difference, but there is a lot of modifying been done to his...keep to the polo m8..good car

you'll find a bigger dent in your wallet.

recent news articles would suggest that there is no real benefit to these highr prices options.

It sounds odd, but the higher octane stuff does seem to agree a bit better with the shed. She gets a little bad tempered when she's cold, and I've noticed she's a bit nicer to me with a higher octane, especially shell's stuff. She likes that formula best of all.

Polo, if you go onto www.car-partsonline.co.uk, they should have a good range of parts. They offer genuine parts and/or replacement parts from other german companies.
