    Hi Guys,

New to the site, after having a 2012 "62" Volkswagen POLO GTI for 2 years it got written off in the bad weather here in scotland, so was very tempted to buy the new one with the 1.8tsi engine in it however me and partner found out we were expecting baby no 1 !

So off goes that idea and a iv traded her Ibiza 1.2tsi fr in for the golf.

What do yous guys think of the performance and economy of the 2.0 TDI

Heres a Photo of the Ibiza and the polo before the crash!

    Cheers

My thoughts on the 2.0 TDI after 62k miles..... economic (55mpg), good for 140mph on the German motorway, fast enough round A- and B- roads in Wales and Cumbria to be fun
Mind you I have the estate, so hatch should be more economic and touch faster. Would always opt for the adaptive suspension again, totally worth ticking the option.

that's good to know! I would have spec'd the car with leather also but unfortunately this was a cancelled order that I am only having to wait 3 weeks for instead of the 3 months!

If you can i would get the GTD, increased power with not much less MPG, looks better, and more importantly it will hold its money for longer

The Alcantara seats in the GT are nice and comfortable but give you a bit of grip so you don't fall off your seat if you corner hard

They might eventually give a bit more info, the on-line tracker can stay at step 5 but the text can go 5a, 5b. I seem to remember getting 5b when the car was at sea. They say 4 weeks spent in transit but for me it was 3. Hopefully you'll get an update soon.
