    Hi All

Today as I expect many of you were also adjusting your clocks for the time saving change, I was using my MMI Control wheel for making the necessary adjustments to the clock and noticed a small little bump on the centre gloss black finish to the centre of control wheel, I just thought if was a bit of dirt stuck to it, I tried to clean it off just using my finger nail and noticed I had made things a lot worse by picking at it :-(

It looks now that that gloss black finish to the centre portion of this control wheel is in actual fact black gloss paint? so I seemed to have now peeled a bit of it off so spoiling it's finish eerrggg.

Can these knobs be easily replaced? do they simply pull off? Has anybody else damaged the finish on there's? If so is there a simple fix for this? or do I have to purchase a new control knob from Audi ?

    Many Thanks

Have you got a picture of it? I thought the clocks updated automatically - mine do.

I think the knobs just pull off, I'm sure I've seen them on eBay recently.

    Nope mine doesn't :-(

That's what I thought as my Vauxhall Vectra one did it from the RDS Radio signal, it seems on my Audi B8 A4 I have to change it manually and it drifts about 2 mins between clock changes as well, so it doesn't even auto correct it 'self either.

Thanks for above, yes found I have found one on eBay for £32.00 Ouch!!

I think it's a bit of Humeral Black Enamel Paint and a small artist brush on this one lol

mmi 2g won't auto update unless you have a radio controller fitted, there are guides out there to retrofit but it's a stupid amount of money for very little gain.

the knobs do pull off, although they're expensive for what they are and breakers won't seperate them from the control panel either.

The knob just pulls off. Got one a couple of years ago from the dealer and seem to remember it was about £20
