    Hi Guys,

Im finally the proud owner of an 07 A6 Avant 2.0tdi... So far done 100miles and LOVE IT!!!

It has a 7 disc CD changer and a NAV system (not colour screen however) I can't find any inputs in the car which I did expect.

My question is can I use a cable like this:

GENUINE AUDI USB iPOD IPHONE AMI MMI ADAPTER CABLE 4F0051510Q 4F0051510K MEDIA | eBay

To connect an ipod or usb device?
Or is it much more complicated than that?

Im sure i have the MMI 2g Basic Plus system as I have SatNav and rear speakers.

Also there is a TEL button but no way to connect it? Im guessing thats normal with this particular model. Found it odd that it has that function but no way to connect anything? I assumed they would just have a 'blanking' button.

Anyway all help is much appreciated guys/girls.
    Thanks

Welcome to club. Glad your loving your new Audi. Had mine on the road for 2 weeks and loving it to.

Am surprised you have sat Nav without colour screen. Always thought sat Nav would have been coloured screen.

As for the usb/iPhone you need another unit for the wire to be plugged into.

    This an after market unit.

Cheaper if you go into Denison website.

    Original unit

As for the tel button, the button comes as standard when you have the sat Nav option.

Yeah it is weird without a colour screen.. Havent used it yet though.. Likely wont.

Wow thats not cheap lol... Does that replace the CD or NAV disc loader?

Neither really. You can have all three still plugged in.
Is you sat Nav disc in the boot with the cd changer?

Audi iPod adapter normally sits in the glovebox.
You can have both. I.e cd changer and the iPod adapter in the glove box.

Or if your thinking of getting the Dension then that's hidden away and you still have cd changer and dvd as well.

Yep they are pricey am saving up for the Dension as I can then get bluetooth for phone too.

Both are in my glovebox... Nothing in the boot? CD NAV & CD Changer.

Well if I was you then the cd changer would go as you can always put cd onto the iPod/usb.

You could put them in the boot but then you will need to wire them in.

Yeah that makes sense. Im guess this is the only way to achieve what I want? Was hoping for something a little less pricey lol.

FM transmitters arent that great apparently either.

Don't get me wrong there are others out there but that's the best two option I have found so far. Do a quick search and you will see the others.

I'm thinking of a parrot Bluetooth system instead... Only £140+ fitting (£50) so less than £200.

It allows AUX and iPod connection which idle perfect, probably try and hide it in the glovebox. Not really going to use it for calls but we will see.
