    Ben. Exactly the same thing happened to me on my way home from Gatwick. About halfway home as we reached the start of an uphill section the cruise control suddenly dropped off plummeting my speed. I went straight to 4th and nursed up over hill and decided that as i had been using cruise control all of the way that this must be the fault. Made it home! Taken it out since then for a test run using NO cruise control and the same fault occurred, 65+mph in 6th, accelerate and slipping occurs. booked into an indi to investigate.

    Nightmare sounds like the same as what happened to me! They are a nightmare.... I don't think they have enough power for the size of the car

    Investigation done and a new clutch and flywheel needed. Goodbye £1k. Not impressed though, a car with that low mileage and age should not need a replacement clutch or any other vital item for that matter. Think i will look at lease hire next time then everything is covered for the 3 years you have it!!

    Gutted, kick off in the audi garage you bought it, right a letter slating them and get it sent off, it took me 4 weeks but worth it, audi stamped work, £875 new clutch and flywheel
