    Hi there,

Need advise as my 2004 Touran is giving me a headache. ABS light and traction persistenly on when driving. Borrowed my friend's diagnostic kit and revealed fault code 00287 rear abs sensor electrical fault. Googled around and mostly suggested replacing the sensor. Went to f1 garage and they replaced the sensor yet the fault remains despite resetting it. ??? wiring they suggested. Has anyone encountered same problem and managed to get through it? Can't stand the light keeps on in the dashboard... Thanks in advance.

I didn't see how they changed my ABS sensor but there is a good video in youtube how to replace it. If wheel bearing is required changing then the job is a bit tough especially when taking the bolts off it. I'll send you Crasher's instructions on how to do it if I can find it.

Bearing's fine. As explained by crasher, it is the magnet attached to it is the problem. Unfortunately it is something that is attached to the wheelbearing hence complete replacement is the solution. Hope that helps.
