    A mates had this as an MOT advisory on her 05 auto sharan 1.9tdi
    As they royally ripped her off over replacing 2 brake pipes she wanted me to look into this.
    Has anyone come across this before?

    is this actually printed on the mot certificate or is in hand writing.
    why or how did they rip her off over the brake pipes.
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    yeah it's printed in the official advisory section.
    £250 to replace 2 rear flexi pipes.
    Needless to say she doesn't trust anything they say

    must have been gold plated hoses. have a look at the diff then, see if there is any play in it. did your friend not get a quote first to do these hoses.

    No idea tbh.
    Whats the bet way of testing for wear in the diff? in and out or side to side movement of the shafts?

    Had a look at this today, nothing wrong with the box at all. One very knackered inner cv joint with torn boot and bits coming off it - not the 500 recon gearbox the garage tried to conn her into!
