Seatb Leon 2007 1.9TDI Not starting or turning over dash lights flashing on and off.

Morning all,

got in my car this morning key in igntion and turned on the the aux switch in the igntion. radio came on lights all came on glow light came on all fine. turned the key to start the engine and nothing. radio died all lights went of then came back on and flashed like mad (relays chattering could be heard) then nothing.

after that the trip computer had reset the time had reset and even without key in the ignition the backlight on the trip computer was fading in and out.

now everytime i put the key in the igntion and turn it to the aux postion (where normally the radio would come on and the glow light would light up) all the dash lights flash on and off and can hear relays clickig on and off. when i try turn the car over to start it the relays click like crazy but nothing happens.

didnt try much other than removing the +ve terminal on the battery for a bit and reconnecting as it was 5am and was then rushing to get to work. (had to borrow the Mrs KA!!)

any help would be great.

Check earth strap on battery and car

if earth is ok then battery sounds flat. charge , boost or fit new one.
