I have a new style A4 built in 2008, 65000 miles, and it's going to have to have a new water pump. I'm told that a lot of stuff has to come off the top of the engine and I just wondered if I should get the the belt/chain at the same time and maybe save a bit of money.

Sorry, it has the 1.8 tfsi petrol engine. I've asked at the local main agent a couple of times when I've been in there and they didn't give me an answer.
