    Hello

My car is a 2.5 Tdi automatic C5 Model 2003/2004

Can anyone please confirm if the ECU can be replaced without removing the gearbox from the car

I have read in the forum that some say there is no need to remove the gearbox

Did Audi ever change the location of this ecu ie. do some A6 have the ecu external

    Thanks for any advice

I currently have a problem with my auto gearbox too. On visiting an auto box specialist yesterday he said it is either in the passenger or drivers footwell under the carpet. if you find it there please let me know how you get on.
