    Hi,
does anyone know how I can find out if my firmware or AMI needs updated? I suspect it does as it won't recognise my phone when I connect it for music. I have read on this forum that the AMI can be updated from the USB lead but am unsure where to find the latest downloads
    many thanks

This is more of a bump than a reply, as I also need some help and assume by way of update to my 2011 A4 Technic which seems not to recognise
my iphone 5 when plugged into the glovebox socket using a 30 pin connector and a 30 pin to lightning adapter.
Is the problem to be solved by a software or firmware update and if so can anyone post a link to show where that can be accessed,
or is the problem from using an adapter?
Thanks in anticipation of a helpful response.

I have since got my phone working, I got a different lightning adapter with the White grommet and now it's working fine, I also got a Bluetooth reciever that plugs into the 30 pin AMI cable and have got it working through bluetooth whic I prefer as the phone doesn't need to go in the glove box, I was advised by Audi that there is no firmware update.
this is the bluetooth reciever I got ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 - Wireless Bluetooth Music: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
    hope this helps
