Hi all, first time poster as I just bought the car a week ago!

I've had a good search on here and google and have found a few similar issue but they tend to be water in the rear footwell.

I have a 56 plate Touran and I thought the rear washer jet was clogged.

I took it out and blew through it with no issues so decided to give it more time to respond.

After about 5-8 seconds of pumping it eventually squirts water out of the rear jet (takes about 2 seconds for the front) but noticed the rear pressure was a bit low.

Noticed after I came back from the shop there was water dripping from just in front of the driver side wheel arch (just below the tank) and the passenger footwell had water on the carpet.
The footwell water was in a bit of a weird pattern, it was either from under the carpet or from above but running my hands around the glovebox area nothing was wet so I'm assuming its from below the carpet.

Unsure where to start as the water does eventually reach the back jet so don't think a junction/link has popped off.

Hi and welcome to the wonderful world of the Touran !
Not sure about the wet footwell, but might be able to help with the screenwasher. I had the same symptoms with poor pressure and screenwash from the front bumper area. I removed the small grille where a fog light might be fitted and the under tray to get access ro the washer bottle, the rear washer hose had rubbed through on the inside of the bumper, I managed to cut out the worn section and refit a short length of brake bleeding hose I had in the shed and zip tie it up tight. Access was tight, to do it easier youd have to drop the bumper off. Frozen screen wash can also push the fitting off, but youll have get down and have a look.

just thinking on sincelast post, the wheel arch liner had to come out to get to the washer bottle, and I had to release some bumper bolts and spring the bumper out a bit. Front fog light grille was to get acces to the webasto exhaust, been in and around that area a few times over the years and memory a bit hazy.

Cool thanks, ill take a look at that at the weekend if weather allows.

The foot well issue is more alarming as it means I cant run the rear washer without risk of soaking the passenger carpet

I dont think rear screen wash hose is routed along passenger side. check the bottom of the door card, after squirting window with a hose. It could inner door skin seal, especially if its been off to change the window regulator.

I had that in a previous car however there was no rain that day and the only thing I used was the washers. I cant think of anything else that could have done it.

    I'll take a look tomorrow

Ok before I start ripping random trim out.
Does anyone know where the rear washer hose is routed in a 2006 touran (prefacelift)?

Bang on the money mate, the leak from the engine bay is from chaffing on the lower valence.
I however, wasn't expecting the hose to be a plastic corrugated/ribbed hose.

Do you remember the ID hose size you used to cover it? I expect to fix it in much the same way. unhook it, cover it with a bit of fuel hose and a bit of glue and cable ties to seal it.

I also discovered what the footwell leak was too. When I use the front jets then open the bonnet, because of the way to bonnet swings away from the screen the passenger side jet dumps water onto the windscreen which runs off into the channels in the engine bay which somehow ends up coming out the air vents on the passenger side

    Cheers!

It sounds like your windscreen drain holes, under the bonnet hinges and exiting into the wheel arch are blocked. This allows water to over flow into the pollen filter intake, then into the passenger foot well.
