Q7 mmi help

Right just bought a 2012 model Q7 with no nav i was told not sure if it high,low whatever it has the duel sd card reader with a cd slot also has the NAV button with the rest of the buttons.How would i be able to tell what spec it is also if i use bits and peices to upgrade it if not satnav

Can you post a picture of the screen, as with that age of Q7 I'm not sure if you have 3G LOW or RMC.

I'm not sure when on the Q7 when it moved from 3G to 3GP, it is most likely RMC/3GP but a picture would confirm this.

What is it you want to do add, DAB, TV, NAV, AMI (IPod)

Nav mostly and whatever else I can it says it has dab but I can't find it I had a my12 a4 black edition with it and it was in the frequency selections but anyway lol here's pic

It's MMI 3G LOW. What is the message when you press the Nav button?

If you have DAB then it is part of the radio module, and should be list under waveband. Also Have a look at the radio module (somewhere in the boot)

It should have a small back connector as shown on this module.

Module without dab

If your radio module has the connector and you don't see DAB is your waveband list, then ask the dealer to fix under warranty.

Looking at the picture of your radio module you don't have DAB, you would need to replace that module and fit the aerial to get DAB.

Do you have a Sharkfin on the roof, if so you already have the GPS antenna. If you press the nav button what message do you get on the display?

i thought it looked like i had the black connector whats the two black ribbed things lol no i have no shark fin but sure gps aerial can be put on the dash or beside a window can they not so anyways what do i need for the nav then also was using the nav on the phone the other week and the directions were coming tru the cars speakers
