91 or 94 Load Index Tyres

Hello all,

I have a quick question about tyres.

Standard tyres on my Golf are 205/55/16 91H, however I find the find a bit too soft.

Would fitting some 94 XL rated tyres help stiffen the ride and improve the handling a little bit? I don't want to go down the road of altering the suspension etc etc.

it might feel the bumps a bit more but other than that i doubt you'll notice any difference.

I'll probably get the 94's then. I'm going to fit a set of Nokians. I've used these previously to replace runflats on a BMW and they were superb. In the BMW's case they were used to slightly soften the ride - which they did, but the handling was still excellent.

In theory at least, they might just tighten the handling a bit on the Golf.
